Janitorial Supervisor

Job Summary

The Janitorial Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a team of eight to ten Janitorial Agents and ensuring that all areas are serviced in a timely manner while complying with the company’s expectations, rules, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Ability to work in a teamwork environment and delegate tasks.
• Monitoring and assisting the team’s performance while leading and motivating them
• Interviewing applicants and training new hires
• Resolving customer/employee complaints
• Administration duties such as record keeping and paperwork.
• Ensure familiarity with all areas of the operation.
• Ability to complete assigned tasks on time while complying with the company’s expectations, rules, and procedures.
• Complete assigned tasks on time while complying with the company’s expectations, rules and procedures and handling hazardous and sometimes significantly unpleasant conditions.
• Mop floors, vacuum carpets, dust furniture, fixtures, ticket counter, podium, tops, fronts, sides, and stainless steel
• Clean bathrooms (male & female) remove garbage from receptacles and replenish all paper products.
• Wash sink, hardware, backsplash and clean/polish water cooler
• Strip and wax floors.
• Other duties may be assigned

Key Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age
• Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience in commercial cleaning
• Excellent organizational attitude

What you will need

• Must be able to speak and understand English
• Must be able to work safely in an environment containing caustic chemicals, cleaning materials, and noise
• Must have schedule flexibility for the weekend, holiday, and night shifts
• Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds in confined spaces
• Must be able to stand, lift, bend, push, and pull for extended periods of time
• Must be willing to work outside in all types of weather and elevated noise levels within the airport environment
• Must have a valid drivers license.
