Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Job Description

We are seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team. This role is essential in providing high-quality respiratory care to patients. The RRT will perform basic treatment therapy and a variety of essential functions within the respiratory therapy department.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer aerosolized medication via oral inhalation, EZPAP, IPPB, and MDI.
• Provide chest physiotherapy (CPT) and incentive spirometry.
• Implement oxygen therapy, CPAP, and BiPAP therapy.
• Conduct arteriocentesis as needed.

Work Schedule

This position requires availability on weekends and holidays. Staff members are expected to work on Thanksgiving Day or the day after, as well as Christmas or Christmas Eve. The shift consists of three 12-hour night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience; travel experience is preferred.
• Candidates must hold RRT certification; CRT certification is not accepted.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.
• A valid license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of TN at the time of application is necessary.
• Epic experience within the last 18 months is mandatory; details should be included in the application profile.

Additional Information

A total of 10 hours of unbillable orientation will be added to the contract if the traveler does not pass the Epic test-out process.
