Graphic DesignerThe Neuromodulation Patient Care Software team is one of the most cutting edge groups within Medtronic, defining and executing on technology and design across a variety of domains including Mobile Apps, Web Services, 3D/2D visualizations, Animations, and Video for management and control of interconnected medical devices.As an Associate Creative Designer, you will be working with motivated, diverse, and knowledgeable development teams to deliver world-class products.Position ResponsibilitiesDesign, update, interpret, and implement a common design language across all software touch pointsDesign of user interface for web, mobile, and desktop applications, including site-mapping, wire framing, and high-fidelity screen generationDesign of user interactions and component animationsGeneration of UI prototype materials and final digital assets Continuous improvement of functional procedures, processes, and toolsGeneral advising and consulting for artistic or creative needs.QualificationsBA/BFA or MA/MFA in Graphic Design or similar fieldExperience with Adobe CS (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, InDesign, Flash)Demonstrated mastery of graphic design, illustration, information design, and interaction designDemonstrated mastery in the formal elements of design, including typography, layout, balance, proportion, rhythm, emphasis, and unityAn ability to quickly grasp and distill highly complex concepts into illustrations that can be understood by others at a glanceExperience working in a deadline-driven environment and meeting those deadlinesOutstanding written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to present work to groups Innovative concepts, problem-solver, and big picture thinkingIndependent producer and excellent collaborator Enthusiasm for an iterative design process Exhibits proactive, solution-based thinking and executionMaintains professional demeanor under pressure and in situations of ambiguityAn excellent eye for composition, timing, and storytelling.
