Job Description Summary: Summary: As a Gift Shop Clerk, you are the face of the retail experience, providing personalized service that enhances each guest's visit. You assist guests with purchases, handle transactions accurately, and ensure merchandise is well-stocked and attractively displayed. Your attention to detail and commitment to outstanding guest service directly support the department's success and contribute to the overall quality of the casino's guest experience. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Provide timely and courteous guest service consistent with the company's guest service culture Sell Gift Shop merchandise, including pre-packaged food and beverage (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic), while operating a point-of-sale (POS) system with accuracy and efficiency Monitor and restock merchandise to ensure displays remain full, clean, and visually appealing; report inventory discrepancies or low stock to leadership Maintain a working knowledge of property amenities, services, events, and hours of operation to assist and guide guests effectively Accurately handle assigned cash bank, maintain balance throughout the shift, and follow proper cash handling procedures Maintain confidentiality of guest information and company data in accordance with privacy policies and procedures Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, if they apply to the position Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company's guest service culture standards Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications 1 year of retail, customer service, or cash-handling experience preferred Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team Committed to fostering a respectful, inclusive, and safety-conscious work environment Ability to access and input information using a moderately complex computer system Skilled in operating calculators and POS systems for retail transactions Requirements Must be at least 21 years of age High School Diploma or equivalent preferred Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal Obtain and maintain all work cards required by the company Verify right to work in the United States Work Cards Alcohol Awareness Card Physical Requirements Occasionally push/pull up to 25 lbs Occasionally lift and/or carry up to 15 lbs. at floor, knee, waist, and chest levels, including overhead Frequently squat, kneel, reach, bend, and twist Frequently stand and walk for extended periods Occasionally sit and work at a desk or computer Ability to communicate using in-person speech, radios, and telephone Ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds Ability to distinguish between shades of color Ability to use tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity Work Environment Potential Conditions Indoor Smoky Noisy Bright flashing lights Slippery surfaces Hot cold temperatures Exposure to dust, fumes, and/or gases Disclaimer The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
