Special Education Teacher Job Description:
Moderate/Severe (Extensive Support Needs) Program
• Provide specialized academic and functional instruction to students with Moderate/Severe disabilities in a supportive classroom setting.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs) that address each student's unique educational and functional goals.
• Deliver individualized instruction focused on academic growth, communication, independence, and life skills.
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, related service providers, administrators, and families to support student success.
• Maintain compliance with IEP documentation, progress monitoring, and all special education requirements.
• Foster a structured, engaging classroom environment that promotes independence and meaningful student outcomes.
Position Details:
• Location: Upper Lake, CA
• School Year: 8/6/2026 – 6/4/2027
• Schedule: Full-Time
• Caseload: Moderate/Severe (Extensive Support Needs)
• Potential assignment within a Transition Program focused on preparing students for life after high school (additional details to be provided)

Requirements:
• Active California Moderate/Severe (ESN) Education Specialist Credential required
• Experience supporting students with Extensive Support Needs preferred
• Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
