Psych Emergency Clinician Therapist Supervisor Nights Fairfax, VA, United States Job Identification: 683805 Posting Date: 06/19/2026, 04:55 PM Job Schedule: Full time Locations: Inova 8095 - Fairfax East (On-site) (On-site) Job Description: Inova Fairfax Hospital is looking for a dedicated Psych Emergency Clinician Supervsior to join the team. This role will be Full-Time, Night shift from 10:00 pm - 6:30 am. This position has five 8-hour shifts (Thursday shift is evening for leader coordination and planning 2 pm - 10:30 pm) At Inova Fairfax Hospital, our inpatient units are designed to provide clients with safety, structure, and stabilization. The Psych Emergency Clinician Supervisor provides direct/indirect clinical supervision to central access clinicians to enhance their individual clinical skills and the quality of services to patients. Develops goals and managing fiscal activities of the department. Responsible for oversight of daily operations related to clinical evaluations and administrative functions, procedures and protocols. Supervises administrative operations including scheduling/registration, and direct patient care. Works collaboratively with physicians, therapists and other team members of the behavioral health team to effect timely, appropriate patient care management. Collaborates with other department leaders, providers and team members with in Inova, and external agencies to help support the care and disposition of patients. Minimum Qualifications:

• Certification - Basic Life Support upon start, CPI in-person training for non-violent crisis intervention, receive CPI blue card within 6 months of hire, After 9/1/25, Vistelar replaces CPI for new and renewed de-escalation certifications. Approved Clinical Supervisor within 3 months - completion of Board mandated continuing education in clinical supervision
• Licensure - Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP), or Licensed Substance Abuse Professional (LSATP).
• Experience - 5 years of experience, 3 of which are post-licensure, working in the psychiatric or mental health field with the seriously mentally ill.
• Education - Masters Degree Master's degree, PhD, PsyD, Psychology, Social work/ counseling/ Behavioral Science and Health

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous work in a critical care or emergency setting
