Academic Non‑Invasive Cardiology Position – Banner University Medical Center Tucson The University of Arizona Department of Medicine, Section of Cardiology, and Banner University Medical Center in Tucson are seeking an Academic Cardiologist to provide patient care, teaching, and research. The successful candidate will deliver non‑interventional cardiac care to both inpatients and outpatients, participate in cardiology section activities, conduct research, and fulfill all duties of a staff cardiologist. Responsibilities Provide patient care in the non‑interventional cardiac area, including inpatient and outpatient services. Participate in teaching clinical and academic courses for students and residents. Conduct research and engage in translational projects. Perform all duties required of a staff cardiologist. Qualifications Board‑eligible or board‑certified in Cardiovascular Disease. Fellowship training in non‑invasive cardiology. Preferred one‑year practice experience. Team‑oriented, adaptable, and comfortable working within community hospital environment. Strong commitment to patient care, teaching, and clinical skills with a desire for translational research. Clinical Tracks Available Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging – for level III cardiac CT and/or MRI trained cardiologists. Interventional Echocardiography – for level III echocardiographers interested in edge‑to‑edge repair, left atrial appendage ligation, and other interventional procedures. Primary Prevention – special interest in lipidology, hypertension, diabetes, and obesity management. General Cardiology – office‑based practice, inpatient consults, and diagnostic cardiology.
