Machine Design EngineerJoin our dynamic team as a Machine Design Engineer, where you will be instrumental in designing mechanical and pneumatic systems for industrial equipment using SolidWorks. This role involves overseeing project management within the design group to ensure the team meets project timelines and customer requirements.ResponsibilitiesUse SolidWorks to produce machining, fabrication, and assembly drawings.Create complete BOMs for equipment building and transfer them into the production system.Resolve design and testing problems on equipment.Perform final inspection of equipment to ensure it meets design intent and customer requirements.Travel 20% of the time to support installations.Direct activities to ensure design, manufacturing, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications and customer requirements.Recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.Essential SkillsProficiency in SolidWorksExperience in Machine Design or Mechanical Design for 5+ yearsExperience with engineering calculations, including statics, dynamics, and heat transferAbility to select components such as motor sizing and cylinder sizingBachelor's Degree in EngineeringAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience in Extrusion Handling System DesignProject Management ExperienceGeneral understanding of controls as it affects mechanical designWork EnvironmentYou will be part of a collaborative team of 10 Mechanical Engineers and 10 Controls Engineers. The role may require travel up to 20% of the time, including a few weeks in the field to assist with installations.
