This Role We are seeking a mission‑driven Behavioral Health Supervisor to join our founding Raleigh team, leading our clinicians and delivering whole‑person, trauma‑informed care to individuals with substance use disorders. At Steadfast Health, we believe that clinicians shouldn’t have to choose between patient‑centered work and their own mental and financial wellbeing. That’s why we’re doing things differently, through an integrated, evidence‑based behavioral health model that deeply supports both patients and clinicians. Base salary range: $80,000 - $95,000, plus monthly performance incentive of 5% of base salary, tied to clinic‑level KPI attainment. Your Responsibilities Leadership and Supervision Provide direct supervision and guidance to clinical staff (therapists, case managers) through both weekly 1:1 supervision and Group Supervision. Manage clinician caseloads and ensure that behavioral health staff are adhering to treatment plans. Collaborate with the Medical Director, Peer Supervisor, Facility Administrator or Operations Director to align clinical care and operational goals. Therapy and Patient Care As the clinic expands and more clinicians are added to the team, your caseload will be adjusted to allow for greater focus on supervising and supporting the clinical staff. Provide individual and group therapy sessions for patients with substance use disorders, both in‑person and via telehealth, embodying the Steadfast patient‑first ethos. Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans, modeling a non‑paternalistic and destigmatizing approach to patient care. Utilize evidence‑based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to support patient recovery. Collaborate with all clinic‑level team members to formulate and execute patient care plans, including Advanced Practice Providers, Medical Assistants, and Peer Recovery Specialists, ensuring integrated treatment approaches. Support patients in crisis intervention situations and coordinate higher levels of care when necessary. Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines. Pioneer innovative ways of improving access and overall care for disadvantaged, marginalized populations. Champion the company’s mission by modeling compassion and fostering trust and strong relationships with patients and communities. Educate patients and families on SUD, co‑occurring disorders, and available resources to support sustained recovery and overall health. Qualifications Meets all North Carolina board requirements to provide clinical supervision for associate‑level clinicians. Independent licensure in North Carolina. Minimum of 2 years of experience providing therapy to individuals with substance use disorders. Certification in addiction counseling is a plus. Experience with telehealth platforms and virtual care delivery is a plus. Strong knowledge of SUD diagnoses, medications, and treatment modalities. Ability to effectively interact with diverse staff, patients, and community members. Excellent interpersonal skills, a flexible, can‑do mentality, and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods during patient sessions, meetings, and daily work activities. Frequent use of hands for typing, writing, and handling clinical documentation and materials. Ability to occasionally lift and carry materials (e.g., patient files, training supplies) up to 25 pounds. Ability to respond promptly to emergency situations, including providing assistance to patients in distress or crisis situations. Sufficient visual and auditory abilities to assess patient needs, read documentation, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members. Ability to navigate clinic spaces, including patient rooms, offices, and common areas.
