Job Duties

• Review work orders, artwork, color requirements, quantities, and production instructions before beginning each job.

• Set up and calibrate manual or automatic screen-printing presses, including screen alignment, registration, pressure, and print settings.

• Prepare screens, checks inks, and match colors according to approved specifications.

• Load and unload materials and operate printing equipment safely and efficiently.

• Monitor prints throughout each production run for placement, coverage, color consistency, adhesion, and defects.

• Operate curing equipment at appropriate temperatures and speeds to ensure a durable finished product.

• Complete production records accurately and communicate delays, defects, or material shortages promptly.

• Minimize waste and rework while meeting established quality and productivity goals.

• Clean screens, squeegees, presses, tools, and work areas; perform routine preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting.

• Follow all safety procedures, including requirements for personal protective equipment and proper handling of inks, chemicals, and cleaning solutions.

• Collaborate with art, production, finishing, shipping, and customer service teams to complete orders accurately and on time.

• Perform other production-related duties as assigned.

• Ability to be flexible and learn other equipment at General Label as requested.

• Ability to be flexible with time as requested.

Minimum Education Required

High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum Experience Required

Preferred experience screen printing or working in a printing environment

Vision - Coverage through VSP – one option available. Eligibility begins on the first day of the month following 60 days of employment. This is a shared cost benefit.

401k – Administered through The Standard. Eligibility begins the first day of the calendar quarter after 90 days of employment. Pre-Tax and Roth options available. Minimum age is 21 to participate. Employer match of 3% of gross pay.

Life Insurance – General Label provides $15,000 coverage at no cost to the employee.

Long Term Disability – General Label provides this benefit at no cost to the employee. See Employee Handbook for more information.
