Restaurant Shift Leader

Restaurant Shift Leader Reports to: Restaurant General Manager. The Shift Leader oversees all restaurant activities during their shift, ensuring smooth store operations, exceptional guest service, and adherence to company standards. They interact with guests, supervise staff, handle cash management, maintain cleanliness and safety, work hands‑on as needed, partner with the Management Team to execute the business plan, provide training, and resolve issues promptly while enforcing policies and procedures. Salary: $16.38 - $18.38 per hour. Essential Functions Demonstrate self‑awareness and motivation for self and others. Proactively seek and accept feedback. Lead with empathy, fairness, and a focus on teamwork. Identify and develop talent for future roles. Apply financial understanding to improve business decisions. Manage shift activities for operational excellence. Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations. Support the success of the business hands‑on as needed. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Requirements At least 18 years of age. High school diploma or equivalent; restaurant management experience preferred. Previous fast‑food restaurant experience required. English communication required; Spanish comprehension helpful. Demonstrated reading, writing, math, and computer/POS skills. Strong leadership skills, calm and professional in challenging situations. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Willingness to learn all areas of restaurant operations and work multiple stations. Positive attitude and desire to serve others. Respectful treatment of others. Strong communication skills, including verbal Spanish and/or English. Self‑motivated and action‑oriented. Embrace learning and willingness to admit mistakes and take accountability. Prompt and regular attendance on assigned shifts; dependable and reliable. Reliable transportation to workplace and company events. Availability to work a variety of days/times, including weekends, evenings, and holidays. Physical requirements: lift and carry up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, squat or stoop to reach items, reach overhead and under shelves and counters, frequent motions of bending, wiping, sweeping, mopping, exposed to temperature variations, risk of slips, trips, burns, cuts, abrasions, falls.
