Marketing and Events Coordinator

The Marketing & Events Coordinator is responsible for driving awareness, engagement, and activity through marketing initiatives, community outreach, events, tenant partnerships, and digital engagement. This is not a role that will spend a significant amount of time at a desk. It is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys bringing peope together, building relationships and turning ideas into well-executed experiences. The ideal candidate is outgoing, highly organized, creative, and execution-oriented. This individual should be equally comfortable visiting tenants to discuss promotional opportunities, developing a marketing caclendar, coordinating a large community event, and evaluating the effectiveness of marketing initiatives. Key Responsibilities Event and Property Activation Events will be a major focus of this position. You will help to co-develop and execute a growing calendar that includes signature flagpole events, recurring programs and smaller community activations throughout the year. Responsibilities include: Co-develop and maintain the annual events and programming calendar Plan and execute events from concept through event day-operations Source local event partners to boost attendance and leverage brand equity Coordinate vendors, entertainers, sponsors, community organizations, and other partners Oversee marketing budget allocation across event channels Track attendance, engagement, and results to improve future programming Tenant Engagement You will build relationships with tenants and serve as an accessible, on-site marketing resource. Communicate regularly with tenants and learn about their businesses Identify opportunities to feature tenants through events, promotions, social media, and public relations Support new tenant openings, grand openings, and important milestones Encourage tenant participation in property-wide programming Help create an environment in which tenants feel connected to the property's direction and success Community Partnerships You will help build connections to our community by: Developing relationships with loca businesses, schools, nonprofits, civic organizations and community groups Providing representation at meetings, networking events and community gatherings Identifying potential event, programming and promotional partners Creating partnerships that foster relationships with new audiences Marketing Coordination You will help connect what is happening in our city with the team responsible for telling that story. Coordinate with ownership groups, property management, outside marketing and PR partners. Identify timely stories and opportunities for social media and public relations Capture basic photos, videos and information from events and around properties Coordinate event materials, signage and promotional needs Maintain property, event and communications calendars Provide local insight so we consistently reflect the personality of the greater Memphis community Core Competencies Experienced in coordinating events with multiple partners and moving pieces Highly organized and capable of managing several projects at once Personable, outgoing and comfortable building relationships Confident speaking to groups and meeting individually with tenants and community partners Comfortable taking ownership and working independently Familar with our community and interested in becoming even more connected Available for occassional event and weekend events #J-18808-Ljbffr
