Surgical Technologist

The trained Surgical technologist, under the direct supervision of the Registered Professional Nurse and/or physician, is assigned as an assistant to specific service areas in the Surgical Suite.

Cooper's Camden Campus is South Jersey's only Level I Adult Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, our OR team cares for some of the most complex and meaningful cases you'll encounter.

Experience Required

  • 1 year of Surgical Technologist experience is preferred

Education Requirements

  • Graduate of a nationally or regionally accredited educational program for Surgical Technologists

License/Certification Requirements

  • Certified Surgical Technologist Credential administered by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or its successor, or other nationally recognized credentialing organization (e.g. NCCT National Center for Competency Testing, etc.)

Special Requirements

  • 7P-7:30A
  • Weekend, holiday, and call rotation required
  • Must annually complete 15 hours of continuing education to remain qualified to practice as a Surgical Technologist in NJ.
