Medical Assistant

This position is responsible for assisting clinicians and nursing staff in providing medical care, as well as, implementing and evaluating direct patient care. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment and skills to provide an excellent patient experience.

Core functions include preparing patients for exams, assisting with minor in-office procedures, coordinating patient care, providing clerical support, maintaining a clean environment, ordering supplies, and developing effective communication mechanisms.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an approved medical assistant training program, active medical assistant certification, and BLS certification.

Preferred qualifications include experience with office medical procedures, knowledge of insurance, managed care operations, EMR, and scheduling software.
