Location: Meridian, Mississippi

Start Date: 08-05-2026

End Date: 11-04-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Day

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $50 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Screen, evaluate, and treat patients in a skilled nursing setting to restore function and mobility
• Develop and update individualized treatment and discharge plans of care based on each patient's needs
• Document all services accurately and in a timely manner to ensure continuity of care and compliance
• Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants and Rehab Techs in accordance with state practice acts
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams, families, and caregivers to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards at all times

Qualifications

• Graduate of an APTA-accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT, MSPT, or BSPT)
• Active Mississippi PT license or willingness to obtain one before starting
• Strong clinical, communication, and documentation skills
• Comfortable and flexible adapting to different facilities, schedules, and patient needs

Education

• Graduate of an APTA-accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT, MSPT, or BSPT)

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient evaluation and functional assessment
• Treatment planning and implementation
• Direct patient care with a focus on restoring mobility
• Accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Clear communication with patients, families, and care teams
• Adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic healthcare environment
