As a Security Officer - Walking Patrols in Portland, OR , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. In this unarmed role, you will conduct routine patrols, assist visitors, and communicate with professionalism while reflecting a caring culture, teamwork, reliability, innovation, agility, and integrity every day.

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour
Job Schedule:

- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations according to site expectations.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout galleries, public spaces, grounds, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, offering directions and assistance while supporting site rules for cultural and public-facing areas.
- Document incidents, daily activities, and/or maintenance or security-related concerns, and communicate with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
