The Clients system is a statewide application that supports the administration which provides nutritional assistance and health services
The Division of Nutrition relies on custom applications to support the delivery of these programs. The Clients project provides a .NET/Oracle-based platform that enables efficient program operations and ongoing enhancements to meet evolving business needs.
Within this environment, the DataMart team is responsible for the design, development, and ongoing maintenance of the enterprise data warehouse and reporting layer supporting the clients application. The team includes Software Analysts, Data Modelers, Informatica Developers, Software Developers, and OBIEE Developers who work collaboratively to deliver and sustain data solutions.
The team continuously implements enhancements and updates to the DataMart as the core application evolves, ensuring accurate, reliable, and timely reporting for business users, program administrators, and regulatory stakeholders."
Is involved with all facets of the software development process, including the research, design, programming, testing and implementation of computer software.
Day-to-day tasks may include but are not limited to:
- Develop, test and execute Oracle SQL queries against the schema of the Production NYWIC database upon request, for program validation and data analysis
- Develop and maintain a library of SQL queries that can be executed on a recurring basis with different parameters, for similar requests
- Assist DOH program staff in understanding Clients data structures within the projects modules, for developing new report requirements
- Assist Clients program staff in developing new ad-hoc queries within the Client Datamart OBIEE system, using defined user guidelines and additional guidance from the Clients Datamart team as needed
- Work with Clients Datamart team members, program staff, and the client application vendor as needed to develop a knowledgebase of system data mappings between the clients application and the Datamart, for program assistance
- Participate in review and/or documentation of regression test scripts for user acceptance testing
- Provide general support for user acceptance testing efforts
- Work closely with ITS and Program managers to ensure adherence to standard policies and procedures.
