Sales Representative

C & B Operations, LLC is a progressive company that has grown over 35 years to include thirty-eight John Deere dealerships in six states. We currently have an opening for a Sales Representative at our location in Yankton, SD. The role involves maintaining sales management information for customers, maintaining company vehicles and equipment, conducting new equipment demonstrations, monitoring trends in customer business activities and providing communication to management, maintaining current knowledge of used equipment values, evaluating equipment for trading, maintaining knowledge of financing options for new and used goods, and attending applicable sales training events and seminars. Responsibilities Developing relationships and expanding customer pipelines. Implementing strategies to increase sales and profit by prospecting within the defined territory. Creating customer‑specific proposals based on detailed needs analysis. Conducting market research to produce competitive comparisons. Developing and maintaining expertise on industry trends and best practices. Maintaining sales management information for all customers in the assigned territory. Maintaining assigned company vehicles and equipment. Conducting new equipment field demonstrations. Monitoring trends in customer business activities and providing timely communication to management. Maintaining current knowledge of used equipment values and evaluating equipment properly for trading. Maintaining current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods. Attending applicable sales training events and seminars. Qualifications At least 3 years of prior outside sales experience. Experience developing and winning new business in a highly competitive environment. Self‑driven with the ability to actively prospect, cultivate, and close new business opportunities using effective questioning skills to tailor solutions to prospect needs. Exceptional communication and sales presentation skills. Relates well to all kinds of people and builds trusting relationships. Unwavering integrity and strong work ethic. Willingness to travel across the assigned sales territory to grow business relationships. Proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Valid driver's license and a safe driving record. Ability to meet physical demands required to perform job functions (e.g., sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, pulling). Previous sales knowledge and experience with agricultural equipment and outdoor power equipment strongly preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required.
