Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join a manufacturing team in McHenry, IL. This position is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and repairing mechanical and electrical systems to keep production running efficiently. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial maintenance and possess strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to work across multiple maintenance disciplines.
Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and machinery.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Diagnose equipment failures and respond quickly to minimize downtime.
• Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble machine components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Follow all safety procedures and company standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Work independently and collaboratively with production and maintenance teams.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician, Industrial Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Mechanic, or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
