An Internal Medical Group has an opportunity for Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or a Physician Assistant (PA) to work in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) facilities in the New Haven County area. This is an excellent opportunity for those who enjoy a flexible work schedule, working autonomously, and accelerating in a pay-for-performance environment. Responsibilities Treat the whole person, not just the problem area, and focus their treatment on function. Have broad medical expertise to treat disabling conditions such as spasticity, fatigue, weakness, gait abnormalities, contractures and pain. Determine and lead a treatment/prevention plan. Collaborate with a team of medical professionals, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and physician extenders to optimize patient care. Work with other physicians, including primary care physicians, neurologists, orthopedic surgeons, and many others. Education and Experience APRN Masters or doctorate prepared Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. Certified nationally as a Nurse Practitioner through AANP or ANCC. Valid Connecticut license as a Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, and certified as a Nurse Practitioner by an approved certifying body. DEA and CT controlled substance license. Experience working with elderly patient population. Experience working with EHR. PA State License. Any years of experience. Experience working with EHR.
