How You’ll Contribute As a Dietician, you will approve menus, provide nutritional assessments, and counsel patients and families on dietary plans. You will monitor performance improvement plans and contribute to patient care plans regarding nutritional needs. Consult with patients and family members concerning dietary needs and goals. Instruct patients and/or families regarding diet therapy programs. Coordinate Dietary Services Department with JCAHO standards and assist the Dietary Manager as needed. Plan modified diets for patients as requested by attending physicians/lawful practitioners and communicate to the Dietary team promptly. Perform timely nutritional assessments; monitor and document patient care in regard to therapeutic diets. Review patients’ charts to determine need for nutritional assessments and update documentation as needs change. What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Minimum 3 years of dietary experience in a healthcare facility, focusing on nutritional assessment and planning. Current registration with the American Dietetic Association (RD or RDN) or equivalent, and licensure per state of practice required.
