This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.Blue Origin is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Project Engineer to join our Launch Infrastructure Development team. In this leadership role, you will provide advanced civil engineering expertise and technical oversight for the development and construction of Blue Origin's launch facilities and ground systems. You will guide project teams, make critical engineering decisions, and ensure civil infrastructure elements meet Blue Origin's exacting standards while supporting operational requirements for our next-generation launch capabilities.Key Responsibilities:Serve as the technical authority for civil engineering aspects of launch infrastructure developmentLead civil engineering design reviews and provide expert guidance to ensure constructability and operational functionalityDevelop technical solutions for complex civil engineering challenges specific to launch facilitiesDirect the resolution of critical field issues, ensuring technical integrity while maintaining schedule and budgetOversee contractor performance on civil scope elements and evaluate technical submittals and modificationsProvide senior-level coordination with regulatory agencies on permitting, environmental compliance, and code requirementsLead site development planning including complete civil infrastructure integration with facility systemsDevelop and implement technical standards for launch facility civil worksMentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across multiple projectsPresent civil engineering status, risks, and mitigation plans to senior leadershipEvaluate new technologies and methods for improving launch infrastructure civil systemsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)Professional Engineer (PE) license10+ years of civil engineering experience with at least 5 years in infrastructure developmentDemonstrated expertise in site development, drainage systems, and utilities for complex facilitiesExperience leading civil engineering aspects of large-scale construction projectsAdvanced knowledge of civil engineering standards, specifications, and construction methodsProven ability to solve complex field engineering challenges with innovative solutionsExperience managing contractor relationships and overseeing civil construction qualityExcellent communication and presentation skills with ability to influence technical decisionsStrong leadership abilities with experience mentoring engineering teamsPreferred Qualifications:Experience in aerospace, industrial, or defense infrastructure projectsKnowledge of specialized launch facility requirements and their civil engineering implicationsBackground in coastal engineering and Florida-specific environmental regulationsExperience with design-build project delivery methodsAdvanced proficiency with civil engineering software including civil 3D, hydraulic modeling toolsUnderstanding of unique requirements for cryogenic systems infrastructure and foundationsExperience coordinating with government agencies including NASA, Space Force, or similarBackground in construction management or construction engineeringPhysical Requirements:Ability to access all areas of active construction sitesWork outdoors in varying weather conditionsStand, walk, and navigate uneven terrain for extended periodsClimb ladders and work at heights when necessaryWear required personal protective equipment (PPE)Culture StatementDon’t meet all desired requirements?
