Job Description Dewberry is currently seeking a Transportation Project Engineer in our Denver, CO office to support our strategic growth initiative within the transportation market sector. This position will work on all phases of Transportation Projects for a variety of public sector clients. Transportation projects will include horizontal and vertical road alignments, drainage systems, storm water management, utility relocations and preparation of contract documents. This position may also engage Dewberry’s California market which is the Western Region’s hub for transportation. Responsibilities The position requires 5+ years of leadership experience in the planning and design of state and local transportation infrastructure, including but not limited to roadway design, intersections, interchanges, utilities, drainage, stormwater management, and coordination with other disciplines as necessary. The successful candidate must be flexible, technologically savvy, and client focused. The work required by the successful candidate is diverse and requires familiarity with state and local design standards, Civil 3D and/or AutoCAD, MicroStation/InRoads, and Microsoft Office Suite as well as experience with client and project management processes. Required Skills & Required Experience BS degree in Civil EngineeringColorado Professional Engineer (PE) License or ability to obtain within one year of date of hire.5+ years of experience in transportation engineeringExperience with Civil 3D and/or MicroStation InRoadsAbility to work in a timely fashion to meet project budgetsAbility to communicate effectively with clients, coworkers, sub consultants, and review staffAbility to compose technical reports, memorandums, and other written communicationAbility to handle multiple concurrent projectsThe successful candidate must be flexible, technologically savvy, and client focused.
