Job description

ALUMINUM MOLD SETUP TECH

Full Time, 3RD Shift (11:30pm – 8:00am), (no weekends)

Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and mechanically skilled Aluminum Mold Setup Technician to join our team on 3rd shift.

This role is responsible for setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting molds and associated equipment to ensure efficient production and high-quality output. We provide on-the-job training along with time to develop proficiency with machine functions.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Set up aluminum molds and related equipment for production runs
• Perform routine maintenance on machinery, including:
  • Bearings and bushings
  • Hydraulic lines
  • Thread repair
• Replace worn or damaged components as needed
• Use hand tools and shop equipment safely and effectively (drills, grinders, torch)
• Inspect equipment to identify issues and prevent downtime
• Monitor casting quality and make real-time adjustments as needed
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
• Follow all plant safety procedures, PPE requirements, and lockout/tagout guidelines
• Work cooperatively with coworkers and supervisors

Requirements:

• Driver’s License & Reliable Transportation
• Must be over 18 at the time of hire

Skills and Qualifications:

• Basic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
• Experience working with hand tools, drills, grinders, and torches
• Ability to perform maintenance on industrial equipment
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Physical stamina to lift up to 50 pounds & stand for extended periods.
• Good organizational skills.
• Strong attention to safety and quality standards.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, safety procedures, and production schedules
• Must be punctual, dependable & able to work independently

Experience Requirements:

• Previous manufacturing or mold setup experience preferred

Wages & Benefits:

• Starting wage: $23.25 per hour (based on experience)
