Experience: 3+ years for qualifying Bachelor of Pharmacy candidates Responsibilities
- Review prescriptions for appropriateness, legality, interactions, allergies, contraindications, and relevant lab values.
- Verify and dispense medications accurately and maintain required records.
- Provide medication counseling and education to patients and healthcare staff.
- Perform chart reviews, medication therapy management, and clinical interventions.
- Provide drug information and clinical consultation to healthcare providers.
- Direct pharmacy support activities and educate pharmacy technicians and students.
- Participate in quality improvement, medication inventory management, and pharmacy operations.
- Pharm.D. degree and registered pharmacist licensure required.
- Unrestricted Alaska Pharmacist License required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- ASHP-recognized pharmacy residency preferred.
- Candidates licensed before 2003 with a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree require 3 years of hospital and/or ambulatory pharmacy experience.
- Current flu vaccination required.
