Assistant Operations ManagerAssistant Operations Manager – a leader who oversees and optimizes the day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency, effectiveness and profitabilityResponsibilitiesWork with all branch personnel to execute strategies to maximize profits in conjunction with client requirements and following company policies and proceduresResponsible for managing various aspects of the organization, including quality of work, inventory management and resource allocation.Assistant Operations Manager plays a crucial role in employee management, strategic planning and cost reduction.Will help oversee daily operations of the division including but not limited to coordinating personnel, implementing safety guidelines.Accountable for ensuring process safety and safety compliance by leading incident investigations, ensuring emergency response preparedness, and providing assistance for work scope developmentDispatches personnel and equipment to jobs using most cost-effective mannerCommunicate regularly with sales team to ensure job priorities are being followed and quality is acceptable and resolve any conflicts.Ensures all mechanics have tools and parts to conduct their required jobs, arriving at job site when scheduled, to maintain progress.Cultivate an inclusive, diverse, and highly effective team cultureHelp ensure that the disciplinary actions are administered in a fair mannerWork with operations to write up job proceduresEffectively manage relationships with customers and vendorsAssist in equipment preventative maintenanceAdhere to and train all personnel to ensure OSHA safety and company policy and proceduresHelps plan and execute safety meetings, conduct monthly safety auditsRegulates all hours to personnel to distribute hours equally and fairlyManage the inventory and ordersSupport fieldwork and supervise shop during peak periodsTrack loaned equipment and personnelPerforms on call duty as neededPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsInterpersonal communication, written and oral skillsStrong active listening skills, strategic thinking, and sound decision-making skillsProfessional presentation, organizational skills and multitasking skillsStrong leadership and coaching skillsExcellent communication and teamwork abilitiesComputer Microsoft, Excel, Word, and Outlook skills requiredMust be willing to work a flexible schedule, extended work hours associated with overnight and extended travel
