Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and initial evaluations to identify clients' mental health issues, understanding their personal histories, family dynamics, and unique circumstances.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices, ensuring that each client's therapeutic journey is tailored to their specific needs.
  • Provide one-on-one counseling sessions using a variety of therapeutic techniques that encourage personal growth, emotional healing, and overall well-being.
  • Collaborate with clients to set realistic therapeutic goals and regularly monitor their progress, making adjustments as needed to facilitate successful outcomes.
  • Offer teletherapy services to accommodate clients who may face barriers to accessing traditional in-person therapy, ensuring that mental health support is available to all individuals.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation and adhere to ethical standards in practice to ensure the highest level of care and compliance with regulations.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities to advance clinical knowledge and remain abreast of the latest trends and practices in mental health therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work closely with a diverse client population, including individuals and families facing issues such as trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. Your ability to establish trust and rapport with clients will be crucial for fostering a safe space for them to share their stories and pursue healing.

Qualifications

  • A current, valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
  • A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is essential for this position.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to create a supportive therapeutic alliance with clients.
  • An empathetic, nonjudgmental approach that recognizes and respects the unique experiences and struggles of each client is crucial.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle caseload effectively while fulfilling administrative duties.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in providing therapy services within an outpatient setting, particularly in remote capacities.
  • Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family Systems Therapy, and Trauma-Informed Care.
  • Previous work experience with addiction treatment, trauma recovery, or groups therapy would be advantageous.
