That’s where you come in. The Global Payment Network (GPN) Technology organization manages critical payments infrastructure to facilitate high‑throughput, secure global transaction processing. Our Technical Program Management (TPM) teams are vital to GPN’s success. These teams leverage deep technical acumen and systems thinking to drive the architectural alignment, technical strategy, and execution of the organization’s objectives and key results. They improve scalability and system resilience within the GPN engineering lifecycle, with a focus on ownership of complex technical dependencies, cross‑functional engineering roadmaps, and the robust delivery of global financial infrastructure. In addition to the technical program, you will also work to pave the way for an expanding TPM discipline within the team, by leveraging your industry knowledge and experience to teach the organization what a great TPM can achieve. Key Responsibilities and Qualities Strong technical background (ideally building highly scalable platforms, products, or services) with the ability to proactively identify and mitigate technical risks throughout delivery life‑cycle. Exceptional communication and collaboration skills. Excellent problem‑solving and influencing skills. A quantitative approach to problem‑solving and a collaborative implementer of holistic solutions; a systems thinker. Ability to simplify the technically complex and drive well‑educated decisions across product, engineering, design, and data science representatives. Deep focus on execution, follow‑through, accountability, and results. Exceptional cross‑team collaboration; able to work across different functions, organizations, and reporting boundaries to get the job done. Highly tuned emotional intelligence, good listener, and deep‑seated empathy for teams and partners. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree. At least 5 years of experience in technical program management. Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of experience designing and building data‑intensive solutions using distributed computing. 3+ years of experience building distributed systems and highly available services using cloud computing services / architecture – preferably using AWS. 3+ years experience building highly scalable mobile products & platforms. 3+ years of experience with Agile delivery. 3+ years experience delivering large and complex programs – where you own the business or technical vision, collaborate with large cross‑functional teams, secure commitments on deliverables, and unblock teams to land business impact. Experience in building systems & solutions within a highly regulated environment. Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a related technical field (Computer Science, Software Engineering). Salaries and Incentives Plano, TX: $182,500 - $208,300 McLean, VA: $200,700 - $229,100 Richmond, VA: $182,500 - $208,300 Riverwoods, IL: $182,500 - $208,300 This role is also eligible to earn performance‑based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long‑term incentives.
