About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years preferred License: Pending license accepted Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Travel experience required - Experience with charting system Epic Description: The Emergency Department provides care for various acuities, conditions, and age ranges. Nursing ratios vary based on care area and acuity of patients, typically 1:4. May be required to work some mid-shifts. Weekends are required: 3 shifts in a 4-week period. The facility features a board-certified ED attending in-house 24/7. It is a Level 2 Pediatric STEMI and Stroke facility. The department is equipped to handle diverse patient scenarios, including trauma and emergency care. Nurses must wear designated scrubs with the organization’s logo. Additional scrubs can be obtained through the facility. A 100% nicotine-free environment is maintained. Patient demographics include neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Daily visits vary, with a significant patient flow. Interdisciplinary support is available from various services, including respiratory and pharmacy. This environment facilitates the management of multiple acute conditions. The practice includes critical procedures and emergency interventions. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic setting.
