CHEF MANAGER

In this role you will be responsible for the success of both the culinary and food service operation. We need a culinary professional who can balance back of house activities coupled with daily operations oversight to include reporting, scheduling, inventory control, POS system management, etc. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an industry leader offering tremendous advancement opportunities.Key Responsibilities:Full culinary management of food service operation to include inventory, ordering and receivingKnowledge of P&L accountability and contract-managed service experience is desirableProficient in menu development, cost controls, purchasing and inventory with a focus on sourcing and utilizing local food productsPartners with the client to deliver quality on site catered events, as demanded by the operationPossesses a passion for sustainability and quality ingredientsInspires, motivates, and engages a loyal, high performing teamPreferred Qualifications:Must have a working knowledge of HACCPThree years of culinary management experience in contract foodservice or full service restaurant with inventory and purchasing knowledge and controlExtensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentationExperience with exposition cooking neededProven experience leading a high functioning back of house teamKnowledge of P&L accountability and contract-managed service experience is desirable; must be systems savvy and comfortable utilizing technology on a daily basisCompass Group is an equal opportunity employer.
