About the Position

Job Title: RN - Labor and Delivery Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year of high-risk obstetrical care License: RN Certifications: Intermediate AWONN fetal monitoring certificate Must-Have: High-risk obstetrical bedside training Experience in circulating for c-sections and recovering high acuity patients Description: We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery. The nurse will work in a high-risk obstetrical unit. The nursing ratios are generally maintained at 2:1 for cervical ripening and stable postpartum magnesium patients, and 1:1 for unstable magnesium or active labor patients. Triage patients may be assigned at a ratio of 3:1. This position involves providing care for patients during vaginal deliveries, c-sections, and post-delivery recovery. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in high-risk labor and delivery. Professional appearance is required, including neat and clean hair, and a prohibition on visible piercings beyond the ears. Body art should be covered whenever possible. The nurse may be required to float to the antepartum unit as needed. Attendance policies will be followed as per organizational guidelines. This position requires a commitment to patient care and safety.
