Territory Sales Manager - HVAC

Role Description The Territory Sales Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Alexandria, VA. This position is responsible for managing and growing a defined sales territory by building relationships with HVAC contractors, wholesalers, and other customers, and by promoting Ruud HVAC products and solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include prospecting new accounts, conducting regular customer visits, presenting product features and benefits, preparing quotes, and following up on opportunities to close sales. The role also involves coordinating with internal teams on inventory, pricing, and delivery, providing basic technical support and product training, and monitoring market trends and competitor activity. The Territory Sales Manager will maintain accurate records in the CRM, participate in sales meetings and trainings, and represent T Stats Supply at industry events and trade shows as needed. Qualifications HVAC industry knowledge and familiarity with HVAC equipment, distribution channels, and contractor needs. Proven sales skills, including territory management, account development, and consultative selling. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to build and maintain customer relationships. Solid organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and follow-through. Comfort with basic technical discussions, ability to learn product specifications, and provide product guidance. Proficiency with CRM systems, email, and common office software (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory. High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is a plus. Prior experience in HVAC sales, wholesale distribution, or a related technical sales environment strongly preferred.
