AP Specialist

Accounts Payable Specialist LaSalle Network is partnering with a growing organization in Glenwood, IL to identify an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team. This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional looking for a long-term opportunity with the potential to convert to a permanent position, along with a flexible hybrid schedule. The selected candidate will be on site MondayFriday during the first month for training and onboarding. Once training is successfully completed, the role will transition to a hybrid schedule of one day onsite per week with the remaining days working remotely. Accounts Payable Specialist Responsibilities: Process a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently Review invoices for proper coding, approvals, and supporting documentation Perform three-way matching between purchase orders, invoices, and receiving documentation Enter and maintain invoice data within the accounting system Process ACH, check, and other vendor payments Reconcile vendor statements and research discrepancies Respond to vendor inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account balances Assist with month-end close activities and AP reconciliations Maintain accurate vendor records and assist with new vendor setup Research and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner Support the accounting team with additional AP-related projects as needed Accounts Payable Specialist Requirements: 2+ years of Accounts Payable or related accounting experience Strong understanding of the full accounts payable cycle Experience processing a high volume of invoices Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently in a remote/hybrid environment Proficiency with Microsoft Excel Experience with an ERP or accounting system preferred What's In It For You? $26$30/hour, depending on experience Contract position with potential for permanent conversion Hybrid flexibility after the initial training period Opportunity to join an established organization with long-term potential Weekly pay and a streamlined onboarding process Key Details Location: Glenwood, IL Compensation: $26$30/hour Employment Type: Contract with potential for permanent conversion Work Arrangement: Hybrid after training Benefits: LaSalle Network consultants are eligible to enroll in benefits.
