EEE Component Reliability Engineer

Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.EEE COMPONENT RELIABILITY ENGINEERThe EEE Component Reliability Engineer plays a critical role in supporting the design engineer community towards higher reliability EEE components, avionics, and systems. This person ensures SpaceX can continue to use commercial electronics from a wide range of manufacturers. The Reliability Engineer is a key member that is involved with evaluating the quality and reliability of components for the design community. This engineer will also help ensure robust qualification of our custom silicon by planning, executing, and documenting appropriate reliability testing. This work impacts all stages of design and production and must interface with supply chain, design & test engineers, manufacturing engineers, and production.RESPONSIBILITIES:Lead component reliability test planning, methodology and executionHelp drive piece part reliability issues and risk towards closureDrive analysis processes for all failures discovered during reliability testingBuild reliability prediction models/Finite Element Models to evaluate product functional performance over mission life conditionsInterface with SpaceX departments such as supply chain, design & test engineering, and production/manufacturingEvaluate failure analysis and coordinate destructive physical analysis investigations to provide corrective actions and paths to closureExecute testing campaigns to assess reliability of hardware and componentsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:BS in Electrical Engineering or related field3+ years of experience in semiconductor product engineering or reliability1+ years of work experience touching reliability testing methodologies (JEDEC/AEC-Q100)Experience with embedded C programmingPREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:MS in Electrical Engineering or related fieldFamiliarity building HTOL hardware/software, and execution of reliability testing of semiconductor productsExperience using bench tools for electrical analysis (oscilloscopes, waveform generators, SMUs)Familiarity with semiconductor ATE testing and bench analysisExperienced with life testing methods (HALT/HASS, HTOL, ESS, JEDEC, AEC-Q100)Familiar with reliability statistics, including Weibull AnalysisFamiliarity with FEA and PCB Design Analysis capability (Sherlock/ANSYS or alternative)Excellent communication and documentation skillsADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Available to work extended hours and weekends as neededCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:Pay Range:Level 1: $105,000.00 - $145,000.00Level 2: $120,000.00 - $175,000.00Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
