No remote/telecommute opportunity Appointment Term 12- 12/12 months Pay Information $56,000 - $66,000 Pay Schedule Hourly FLSA Designation Non-Exempt Position Summary Perform installation, operation and maintenance of the Energy Management & Controls Systems ( EMCS ) for the purpose of monitoring and controlling the environmental conditions in buildings on campus. This position requires good working knowledge of HVAC systems and control devices and the ability to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision. This position should understand control theory and how it applies to building HVAC systems. Job Duties Responsibility Area: "Hot & Cold" Calls Duties: Respond to “Hot & Cold” calls from the campus community. Repair pneumatic and DDC VAV box controls with assistance. Calibrate and replace pneumatic T-stats and other miscellaneous pneumatic equipment. Percentage Of Time 30 Essential Function: Yes Responsibility Area: Monitor Tridium Front-End System Duties: Monitor the campus system from the Tridium front-end and identify problems. Percentage Of Time 15 Essential Function: Yes Responsibility Area: Diagnose Problems Duties: Diagnose problems with AHUs and VFDs; repair or reset if necessary. Percentage Of Time 15 Essential Function: Yes Responsibility Area: Repair of HVAC Systems Duties: Assist other University personnel in the operation and repair of HVAC systems. Percentage Of Time 10 Essential Function: Yes Responsibility Area: Perform Preventative Maintenance Duties: Perform preventative maintenance on control systems. Percentage Of Time 10 Essential Function: Yes Responsibility Area: Duties: Diagnose and repair problems with the energy metering systems with assistance. Percentage Of Time 10 Essential Function: Yes Responsibility Area: Work Orders Duties: Document completed preventive maintenance and work order requests using the Computer Maintenance Management System ( CMMS ). Percentage Of Time 5 Essential Function: Yes Responsibility Area: Duties: Work alongside outside Contractors for the installation and commissioning of EMCS in new construction and renovation projects. Percentage Of Time 5 Essential Function: Yes Required and Preferred Qualifications Required Education High School Diploma Required Experience One years’ experience in the installation, diagnostics and repairs of automated controls for HVAC systems. Required License/Certification Valid Driver’s License Required Additional Qualifications: NA Preferred Education Associate’s degree in HVAC Systems Technology or Electronics Technology Preferred Experience Prior experience with Niagra/Tridum & Staefa systems. Experience with lighting controls systems and utility metering systems.
