Overview Lab Technician – Engineering Support | Round Rock, TX Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Lab Technician to join a growing engineering team supporting the development of innovative heat transfer products in the IT space . This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on lab work and wants to contribute to testing, validation, and product development. 1st Shift | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Pay Range : $25.00 – $35.00/hr (DOE) Responsibilities Conduct thermal testing and analysis of prototypes (temperature, airflow, heat transfer). Set up, operate, and maintain thermal testing equipment (thermocouples, data systems, chambers). Perform soldering (through-hole & surface mount) and build wiring harnesses. Assist with IT lab setup (hardware, software, network). Collect & analyze data, prepare reports, and present findings. Maintain, calibrate, and organize lab equipment. Ensure compliance with lab safety protocols. Qualifications Associate’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent lab experience. 2+ years in thermal testing, analysis, or lab work. Familiarity with thermal tools (thermocouples, thermal cameras, data loggers). Knowledge of heat transfer principles. Skilled in data analysis software (Excel, MATLAB, or similar). Strong troubleshooting & communication skills. Preferred Experience with environmental chambers & thermal simulation software. Why Express?
