Boeing Commercial Airlines (BCA), Out of Production Electrical Fleet Support organization has a great opportunity for a Wire Design Engineer (Experienced, Senior or Principal) in Seal Beach, CA . Position Overview This role will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and reliability of the Out of Production (OoP) fleet. The OoP Electrical Design Engineering (DE) team is dedicated to providing exceptional compliance and technical support, driving initiatives such as the Continued Operational Safety Program (COSP) and addressing Safety Related Problems (SRP). Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Experienced, Senior and Principal Wire Design Engineer. Position Responsibilities Documents processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities. Develops basic work statements for new designs. Participates in technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection. Analyzes functional and physical input to assure development of complete integrated design. Generate and maintain wire diagrams for released designs. Individual shall be able to work under general direction of lead engineer and an experienced mentor to enhance both technical learning and career growth. Work Authorization This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Seal Beach, CA. Basic Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry 5+ years of experience in an engineering discipline. Preferred Qualifications 10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working in the aerospace industry. Experience working in a cross functional team environment and have good verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of CATIA V5, CADDS, WIRS.
