Job Title: Mechanical Assembler-$19/hr

Job Description

This role focuses on upfitting and assembling Ford F-150 and U-Haul trucks in a modern, climate-controlled facility. You will read and interpret blueprints, use a variety of hand and power tools, and follow daily instructions to complete mechanical assembly and upfitting tasks accurately and safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical assembly and upfitting on Ford F-150 trucks and U-Haul trucks according to project specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to guide assembly and installation work.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete mechanical tasks and installations.
• Follow day-to-day instructions from supervisors and team leads to meet production goals and quality standards.
• Inspect completed work to ensure proper fit, function, and adherence to mechanical and safety requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tools and equipment, to support efficient workflow.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot mechanical issues and resolve assembly challenges.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines while working with mechanical components, tools, and equipment.

Essential Skills

• Hands-on experience with mechanical upfitting or mechanical assembly work.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and basic mechanical drawings.
• Proficiency using common hand tools and power tools in a workshop or automotive environment.
• Experience working on personal vehicles, farm equipment, or similar mechanical systems.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adapt to changing daily priorities.
• Basic mechanical aptitude gained through work as a mechanic, upfitter, lube technician, farmer, farm hand, automotive worker, or assembler.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in automotive repair, maintenance, or assembly is highly beneficial.
• Experience in farming or farm hand work that involved maintaining or repairing equipment.
• Comfort working independently as well as in a team-oriented production environment.
• Willingness to learn new mechanical processes and upfitting techniques.
• Reliability and strong work ethic suitable for a contract-to-hire opportunity.

You will use a range of hand tools and power tools in a workshop-style setting focused on truck upfitting and mechanical assembly. The environment supports structured, day-to-day instructions and collaborative work with other technicians and assemblers, with an emphasis on safety, cleanliness, and organized workstations.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Liberty, MO.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
