Triage Nurse

The RN Triage nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care through assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. The role involves using clinical knowledge to follow protocols, contacting pharmacies for medication refills, and maintaining familiarity with medications and clinic paperwork. They participate in professional development, demonstrate nursing leadership, and support team workflow. Additional responsibilities include triaging calls via phone and electronic messages, responding to patient inquiries, and assisting with scheduling tests and treatments at other facilities.
