The Assistant Director Academic Program will be reporting to the Director of Academic Programs and working closely with College of Law departments, stakeholders, and areas across campus, the Assistant Director of Academic Programs is responsible for implementation and coordination of the College of Law domestic and international study-abroad short course programs as well as overall work within the Office of Academic Programs. Requires coordinating with Director of Academic Programs and Faculty Directors of international programs to select, plan, and execute domestic and international short courses, including preparation and compliance with budgets. Further, supporting other facets of Academic Programs, such as course and examinations schedules and schedules for course builds, and launch of new Master of Legal Studies online graduate program. This position requires occasional travel, approximately 10% of the time.

Bachelor's degree required. 5+ years of administrative support in educational setting required. 5+ years of student-facing experience and/or event planning experience required. Valid driver's license required.

Proven ability to lead, manage, and collaborate with a team. Proven experience managing budgets, expenditures, and executing vendor contracts. Exceptional organizational, communication and computer skills (written, oral and visual). Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, create timelines, make sound judgments independently, and balance multiple deadlines. Must possess the ability to meet program deadlines, work under time constraint pressures, and to multi-task under pressure with great attention to detail. Ability to build effective relationships and work collaboratively with colleagues across levels at the institution. Proficiency in Blackboard, WordPress, Qualtrics, Zoom, Excel, Adobe, ExamSoft, ProctorTrack, and other online platforms used in higher education.

Facilitate and support more than twelve 4-to-5-day long in-person domestic residencies for 600+ students per year, on-campus and off-campus, including catering, receptions, securing outside vendors, working directly with venues, planning and coordinating activities, building access, student bios for professors, etc. Secure hotel blocks as needed, transportation, guest lists, visitor access. Assist in coordination of all residency faculty, lecturers, and consultants: managing contracts and payments, access to SU platforms, and residency logistics. Work directly with Faculty Director(s) of International Programs and Office of Academic Programs to plan and support international short course options for each academic year. Coordinate with Faculty Director(s) of International Programs to select, plan, and execute international short courses, including preparation and compliance with budgets. Create and oversee process for pre-enrollment, manage student enrollment, and share information with Study Abroad. Track enrollment preferences for online course and residency topics to determine future course and scheduling needs. Work with faculty on schedules and logistics, assist students in planning for short courses. Support launch of new Master of Legal Studies graduate degree program, in conjunction with Associate Dean for Academic Programs and various units (including Center for Online & Digital Learning, the Registrar's Office, Financial Aid, the Bursar, and others), including preparation of course schedule, schedule for course builds, and support of asynchronous courses on Blackboard. Represent University while traveling and hosting residency weeks in other cities, working with alumni guest lecturers on courses and events, securing event logistics with alumni and other College of Law stakeholders. Some travel required domestically and abroad. Approximate estimated time 10%. Create shared information source with main campus, veterans affairs, and Bursar on short courses and fees charged. Other duties as needed for Office of Academic Programs.
