Medical Office AssistantThe Medical Office Assistant (MOA) is an integral member of the clinical care team, committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care. Under the supervision of licensed providers and the practice manager, the MOA performs clinical and support duties in accordance with NYS guidelines within a team-based, integrative care environment. The MOA supports efficient patient flow, patient safety, satisfaction, and assists with front-end duties as needed.What You'll Do:As a key member of our clinical team, you'll play a vital role in supporting patient care and keeping our practice running smoothly. Your day-to-day work will directly impact our patients' health and experience.Prepare exam rooms: sanitize, stock supplies, and ensure medications/vaccines are ready for the dayReview upcoming appointments and identify gaps in care (mammograms, colonoscopies, immunizations, etc.)Escort patients to rooms and manage patient flow to maximize efficiencyTake and record vitals, patient history, allergies, medications, and current concernsAssist with procedures, including EKGs, Holter monitors, and in-office testingCollect and process lab specimens; track and document resultsPerform quality control on equipment and testing materialsHelp at the front desk when needed — greeting patients, answering phones, verifying insuranceCollaborate with providers and the care team to ensure the best patient outcomesWhat You Bring:High School diploma and/or GED requiredGraduation from a NYS-accredited Medical Assistant program is requiredCurrent Medical Assistant certification preferred (NHA, AMT, AAMA, NCCT)BCLS certification (in-person training only, American Heart Association)Strong clinical skills including phlebotomy and aseptic techniqueA team-first attitude and commitment to providing respectful, quality carePosted Salary Range USD $25.86 - USD $29.74 /Hr.Be part of something meaningful.
