HR Specialist

The HR Specialist plays a key role in driving critical human resources initiatives across the organization, with a strong emphasis on compliance and operational excellence. This position collaborates closely with branch leaders, field teams, and corporate departments to ensure consistent, high-quality execution of HR processes and support a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
This position is full-time hybrid; must reside in FL This position starts at $26 per hour. The role supports our South Florida branches in Florida.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with leaders and team members throughout company on HR compliance matters.
- Audit the onboarding requirements and associated documents for new hires.
- Monitor and maintain employee compliance requirements, including licensure, competencies, and certifications.
- Develop internal controls and conduct pre-survey audits to ensure documentation is accurate, up to date, and accessible for regulatory reviews. Be available during surveys to assist with HR/personnel file requests. Communicate effectively with management and employees to support accurate and timely compliance records.
- Facilitate communicates with branch leaders and handles off-boarding (removing from EMRs/Registries (i.e. GCHEX and AHCA) post-termination.
- Maintain contract expirations and document management for independent contractors when requested.
- Participate in HR projects and assist with training
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in related field preferred; PHR/SPHR preferred
- 3 years of Human Resources experience preferred
- 2 years of experience in healthcare including working with healthcare regulatory bodies required
- UKG experience preferred
- Comfortable working in a fast paced, multi-site environment
- Must have good communication and organization skills; detail oriented
- Knowledge of federal and state employment laws
- Experience handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion
