Job OverviewHere at Fairview, we are now seeking a skilled and motivated Ultrasound Technologist to join our dynamic vascular team with a home base at our Fairview Vascular Clinic and Fairview Vein Clinic in Edina, MN.This position offers variety and collaboration, supporting care across multiple locations, including:Fairview Vascular Clinic – EdinaFairview Vein Clinic – EdinaFairview Vascular Clinic - Maple GrovePosition Details:Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM – 4:15 PMFTE: 1.0 (80 hours every two weeks)The Ultrasound Technologist-Clinic functions independently based on the boundaries of professional practice in performing all major work responsibilities. The Technologist provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of high-quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team. The technologist is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements (RDMS). ResponsibilitiesPerforms diagnostic and therapeutic proceduresPerforms examinations with technical accuracy and in a timely mannerVerifies patient identification and documentationReviews physician order prior to exam or procedureAchieves quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocolCommunicates with and educates patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of examRecognizes structures visualized and understands their significanceAccurately produces and records measurements according to protocolsAccurately conveys initial findings and clinical data to referring physicians and/or radiologistsParticipates in creating a culture of patient safetyDemonstrates knowledge of emergency preparedness for facilityApplies established professional guidelines and standards to complex, routine, and non-routine diagnostic testing proceduresAdheres to radiologic safety guidelines and diagnostic testing protocols/proceduresAccurately documents in compliance with regulatory agency requirements., completes computer functions, edits, scheduling, and billing status changesFollows infection control guidelinesServes as a resource for other healthcare team membersResponds appropriately to emergent situationsRequired QualificationsARDMS registered in one specialty or ARRT RT (S) registered within 90 DaysRVT certification within 6 months of hireBasic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)Preferred QualificationsARDMS registered in multiple specialtiesBenefit OverviewFairview offers a generous benefit package including but not limited to medical, dental, vision plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, PTO and Sick and Safe Time, tuition reimbursement, retirement, early access to earned wages, and more!
