ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Supervise daily production operations to ensure schedules, quality standards, and customer deadlines are met.
- Assign work, monitor employee productivity, and adjust staffing to meet production demands.
- Train, coach, and develop production employees while promoting teamwork and accountability.
- Monitor workflow and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Ensure products meet quality standards and company specifications.
- Collaborate with scheduling, engineering, quality, and maintenance teams to resolve production issues.
- Maintain accurate production reports, labor records, and shift documentation.
- Conduct daily production meetings to communicate goals, priorities, and safety expectations.
- Enforce company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and quality standards.
- Address employee performance, attendance, and workplace concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist with interviewing, onboarding, and training new employees.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment required.
- Experience in plastics manufacturing, machining, fabrication, or industrial manufacturing preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret production schedules and manufacturing documentation.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, or Six Sigma principles is a plus.
- Experience working within an ISO 9001 quality system preferred.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.
