About the Role:

The Tote Washer plays a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of totes used throughout the manufacturing process. This position ensures that all totes are thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and inspected to meet company and industry standards, thereby supporting product quality and safety. The Tote Washer will operate specialized cleaning equipment and follow detailed procedures to remove contaminants and residues from totes. This role requires attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols to prevent cross-contamination and maintain a safe working environment. Ultimately, the Tote Washer contributes to the smooth operation of the manufacturing line by ensuring that clean totes are consistently available for use.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to operate industrial cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
• Basic understanding of sanitation and safety procedures in a manufacturing environment.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle repetitive tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial cleaning role.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and cleaning chemical handling.
• Basic mechanical skills for minor equipment troubleshooting.
• Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends or overtime as needed.
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain tote washing machinery according to established protocols.
• Inspect totes before and after washing to ensure cleanliness and identify any damage.
• Follow safety and sanitation guidelines to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Document cleaning activities and report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors.
• Collaborate with team members to manage workflow and maintain an organized work area.
