Respiratory Therapist RRT Per Diem Level I Nights

Hourly Pay Range:

$33.16 - $51.40 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidates expertise and years of experience among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position: Respiratory Therapist - Per Diem Level I - Nights
• Location: Northwest Community Hospital - Arlington Heights IL
• Per Diem Level I - Must be able to work 48 hours every 6 weeks. 24 of those hours must be on the weekend.
• Hours: Days will vary Monday-Friday from 7pm - 7:30am with holidays requirements.

What you will do:

• Assists Physicians as requested with Respiratory Therapy procedures
• Provide respiratory therapy to neonatal pediatric adolescent adult and geriatric patients as ordered by physicians according hospital policy and procedures
• Assess patients to determine most suitable method of administering treatment
• Document treatment equipment maintenance and quality control activities and transcribe verbal or phone order by physicians
• Communicate to patient and family the treatment being performed in a clear manner
• Monitor patient physiological response to therapy with special attention to the pediatric and neonatal patients
• Provide patient and staff education

What you will need:

• Education : Graduation from a nationally accredited Respiratory Therapy program as determined by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) required.
• License/Certifications : Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or proof of registry eligible status required.
• State of Illinois Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure required within 6 months of employment .
• Current CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association required .
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) required within 24 months of employment.
