Job Description

The Barista at Tower Suites Lobby Bar is responsible for delivering exceptional beverage service and personalized guest experiences in a luxury hospitality environment. This position prepares and serves high-quality coffee, espresso, tea, and specialty beverage offerings while maintaining the highest standards of presentation, cleanliness, and Forbes Five-Star service. The Barista creates meaningful guest interactions, anticipates guest needs, and contributes to the elevated experience expected within the Tower Suites.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide personalized, attentive service in accordance with Wynn Las Vegas and Forbes Five-Star standards.
• Prepare and serve coffee, espresso, tea, and specialty beverages according to established recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.
• Accurately take guest orders and process transactions through the point-of-sale system.
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of beverage offerings and provide recommendations based on guest preferences.
• Maintain quality, consistency, and efficiency during both peak and non-peak service periods.
• Handle cash, credit card, room charge, and other payment transactions accurately and responsibly.
• Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked workstations at all times.
• Perform opening, closing, and side work duties, including cleaning equipment, stocking product, and maintaining service areas.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate product needs to leadership.
• Maintain compliance with all Southern Nevada Health District regulations and food safety standards.
• Collaborate effectively with fellow team members and leadership to ensure seamless daily operations.
• Uphold all Wynn Las Vegas policies, procedures, and service expectations.

 

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of guest service experience, preferably in a high-volume coffee shop, café, quick-service restaurant, hotel, or luxury hospitality environment.
• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage operations, including coffee and espresso preparation preferred.
• Experience handling cash transactions and operating point-of-sale systems.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.
• Exceptional guest service skills with the ability to create memorable guest experiences.
• Ability to maintain professionalism, composure, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain all licenses, permits, certifications, and work cards required by Wynn Las Vegas and applicable regulatory agencies.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous luxury hotel, resort, or Forbes Five-Star service experience.
• Previous barista training or specialty coffee certification.
• Active Food Handler Safety Training Card.
• Experience working in an upscale lounge, lobby bar, café, or hotel beverage outlet.
