Oakwood Care Center is seeking an experienced, dependable, and hands-on Maintenance Director to lead our facility maintenance operations.

In this role, you'll help ensure our residents, employees, and visitors enjoy a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment every day . We're looking for a strong leader who takes pride in their work, can prioritize competing needs, and understands the importance of maintaining a healthcare environment to the highest standards.

What You'll Do

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the facility's maintenance department
• Perform and coordinate routine repairs, preventative maintenance, and facility upkeep
• Maintain the building, grounds, equipment, and systems in safe and operational condition
• Identify maintenance concerns and ensure repairs are addressed promptly
• Supervise, train, schedule, and provide direction to maintenance team members
• Maintain preventative maintenance schedules and required documentation
• Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors as necessary
• Monitor maintenance supplies, equipment, and departmental needs
• Ensure compliance with applicable safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements
• Partner with facility leadership and department managers to address maintenance needs
• Assist with inspections, surveys, life-safety requirements, and emergency preparedness
• Respond to urgent maintenance and facility-related concerns as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of two years of supervisory experience in a commercial setting
• Knowledge of general maintenance procedures and building operations
• Experience with preventative maintenance, repairs, and facility upkeep
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects and responsibilities
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Previous skilled nursing, long-term care, or healthcare facility maintenance
  experience preferred
