This position is open to all applicants. The Alaska Department of Fish and Game, Division of Wildlife Conservation is recruiting for a College Intern 1 located in Fairbanks, Alaska! What you will be doing includes gaining proficiency in WinfoNet, ADF&G's Wildlife Information Network, maintaining high-quality standards for harvest data entry and management, assisting in coding hunt locations using Uniform Coding Unit (UCU) maps, verifying harvest reports through direct outreach to hunters, and supporting Wildlife Technicians with various assigned duties and projects.

This internship offers the chance to interface with both hunters and biologists while managing essential harvest data. Your work will directly support the conservation of Alaska's wildlife and habitats. This position offers a flexible schedule of approximately 20 hours per week. Located at the Fairbanks ADF&G office, this position features a shared workspace overlooking the Creamer's Field Migratory Waterfowl Refuge. While you will primarily work in an office setting, there will be opportunities to assist the public at the front counter, surrounded by Alaska's unique wildlife displays.
