Staff Hardware Engineer, Prototyping

Work with cross-functional hardware and software teams to deliver new and differentiating technologies and use cases across the Android ecosystem, including Pixel products.Work with external partners to identify and define new technologies to support internal product and feature roadmaps.Develop models and fabricate functional prototypes of new products and features, including both hardware and software integration.Define architectures, key performance indicators (KPIs), and validation strategies/plans for new products and features.Lead and approve activities in a discipline of hardware design, architecture, technology, or development for a product or system of high complexity.Minimum qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.6 years of experience working in a consumer electronics or hardware prototyping technical environment.3 years of experience in technical leadership.Experience in system architecture, rapid prototyping, and hardware design.Preferred qualifications:PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
